What happens when these lead to more problematic behavior disrupting your, your child’s, or your family’s daily activities?
What is Sensory Processing?
Sensory processing is how a child receives and responds to stimuli in their environment.
Occupational Therapy helps a child gain independence in everyday activities that are found to be meaningful. This can look like a child having difficulty with completing fasteners, due to poor fine motor skills. Another child could have difficulty sitting still and completing their work because they keep getting distracted. A different child could be facing significant safety concerns as they leave a store, running into a parking lot and unaware of their surroundings. Occupational Therapy meets your child on their level and creates a unique and individualized care plan to meet their needs.
FUNctionally Me Therapy Services can perform a complete assessment of your child and provide a comprehensive report and recommendations for improvement, as well as ongoing support to ensure that you child reaches his or her fullest potential.
