AUTISM SERVICES

Kaitlyn McLaughlin, OTD, OTR/L, CAS

Kaitlyn McLaughlin is a Pediatric Occupational Therapist and Certified Autism Specialist, based in Charleston, SC. She has always had a passion for working with children, especially ones with unique needs. Having a younger brother with autism, she has experienced the therapy world since a young age, which intrigued her even then. Her specialties include sensory processing and integration, reflex integration, emotional regulation, and general self-regulation skills.

Kaitlyn graduated from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2016 with her Bachelors in Therapeutic Recreation. She spent a lot of time working with individuals throughout the lifespan with various disabilities. She attended Camp Koinonia, a weeklong sleepaway camp specifically designed for children with special needs, as a counselor and returned the following year as head counselor for the youngest girls cabin group. After undergraduate, Kaitlyn went on to pursue and obtain her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga. Upon graduation, she moved to Charleston, South Carolina where she practices with pediatrics.

In her free time, Kaitlyn spends time with her friends, her family, and her Flat Coated Retriever, Archie. She loves to unwind with a good book, by going to the beach with Archie and her friends, or dining out at her go-to local spots. She takes Archie with her everywhere she can, so be sure to say hi if you spot them!

Kaitlyn would love to collaborate with you to meet your needs, your child’s needs, or your family’s needs. If you have questions or would just like to learn more about what she does, send her an email Kaitlyn@FUNctionallyMe.com or give her a call at 843-212-6599.
